Project Request Form

Request OpenStack Project

Any institution or work group at the University of Münster can request an OpenStack project.

To request a new project, please fill out the request form. In the form, you describe your project, define access policies, and specify the required resource quotas.

Within the approved quotas, virtual resources can be created and managed as needed. The requested quotas may and should include some additional capacity for testing purposes.

Submission

After completing the form, send the request by email to cloud@uni-muenster.de using your university email account.

You may either:

• submit the form directly, or
• download the generated .yaml file and attach it manually to your email.

Please digitally sign the email using your personal university certificate.

Note for Outlook Users

Microsoft Outlook may use the outdated SHA1 hashing algorithm for digital signatures by default. Since SHA1 is considered insecure by modern cryptographic libraries, such signatures will be rejected by our ticket system.

If you use Outlook, please ensure that a modern hashing algorithm such as SHA256 is configured for your digital signature.

Processing Time

Processing the request may take up to one week.
