# Automatic Service Restart

To enable the restart of Deployments, StatefulSets, and DaemonSets when changes are made to the mounted Secrets or ConfigMaps, without the need for tools like Helm, the Kube utilizes [stakater/Reloader](https://github.com/stakater/Reloader).

For example, the annotation

```yaml
secret.reloader.stakater.com/reload: "foo-secret"
```

on a Deployment would result in the Deployment being restarted whenever the content of the `foo-secret` Secret changes.
